Economics, BS
The Bachelor of Science in Economics provides a student with a solid analytical framework and critical skills background for a career in business, non-profit, or government.
Learning goals for Economics major:
1. Develop a deep understanding of how markets work.
2. Acquire and be able to apply in real world settings the mathematical and statistical tools used in economics.
3. Evaluate the consequences of economic activities and institutions for individual and social welfare
4. Understand how to apply tools of economics to public policy questions
5. Understand causes and consequences of unemployment, inflation and economic growth.
